The seven habits are steps to being a good person. There are seven different highly effective habits, and all suggest a good way to live your life.
Habit One: Be Proactive
Being proactive is being responsible for yourself and not wanting everyone to do your things for you. When you are proactive people are always going to treat you like you treat them, with kindness and respect. Another part of being proactive is being flexible, which means when something doesn't go your way, you don't get angry and upset.
Habit Two: Beginning With The End In Mind
Beginning with the end in mind means planning and knowing what you want to do in the future, so you can work towards your goal. Only aim for the things that would make a positive difference for you and other people, and try to be a good citizen.
Habit Three: Put First Things First
Putting first things first means doing what you need to do, before doing what you want to do, and being organised. You try to plan your life very well and always attempt to get things finished on time. If you are always doing things in a rush and at the last minute, you can get tired and frustrated.
Habit Four: Think Win-Win
You do not want everything to be all your way, yet it still wouldn't be fair to let someone else always have their way. Therefore try to think win-win, to make it absolutely fair for everyone, so that way everyone achieves what they would like and is happy.
Habit Five: Seek First To Understand, Then To Be Understood
Try to understand what another person is saying, then you can communicate what you would like to say in relation to their view. This helps people to understand each other.
Habit Six : Synergise
Synergising means working well with other other people and interacting in a good way. When you synergise you get things done in a team quickly, because everyone contributes their ideas and this helps the whole group.
Habit 7: Sharpen The Saw
Sharpening the saw means that you shouldn't keep on working and working without taking a rest. Taking a break can actually help you achieve the result you are aiming for.
